| Billy Squier gained valuable experience as a guitarist from when he played in a pop-group. In the mid 70's he created the band Piper which recorded two albums for A&M Records. He disbanded Piper in 1979, and signed a solo contract with Capitol Records. Inspirations for his music have been Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zepplin, and Genesis to name a few. After having a career that has sold over 11 million records, he is now laying low and working on an album, "Happy Blue", which will explore his love of the blues. |
