| Freddie Mercury joined Brian May and Roger Taylor in their band Smile and later the band became Queen when John Deacon joined. During the seventies and eighties Queen showed their glam-rock and eclecticism with hit singles like, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", and "Another One Bites The Dust". Freddie was the showman of the band and was instrumental in the famine elief concert tour "Live Aid". In 1991 Freddie Mercury died of AIDS and the following year a memorial concert with the remaining band members and such great artists like Elton John, George Micheal, GunsNRoses, David Bowie, and Annie Lennox performed at Wimbley Stadium in May of 1992. |
