| Mike Reno formed Loverboy in 1978. In 1980 Columbia Records signed Loverboy and producer Bruce Fairbairn to record their self-titled album that was to become the standard for their entire career. The melodic reggae and jazz sound mixed with hard rock gave them a very eclectic style like no other. After several successful albums, Reno decided to create his own solo album, the band was thought broken-up. However, during a benefit gig in 1992 the ban re-formed and began playing together again the following year. |
